Think about Better Things

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 7:29-31

IT IS EASY to become absorbed in both the troubles and the pleasures of earth. This week, practice pulling your thoughts toward what is better, and eternal. Anytime you find yourself anxious about, obsessing over, or overly attached to something—good or bad—use it as a cue to think about the astounding gift of intimacy with God. To help you in this practice, you might want to write Colossians 3:1—2 or Ephesians 1:3—4 somewhere you will see often.
