FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS, AND SELF-CONTROL: Suspending Judgment
IT CAN BE very easy to assess another person’s wrongdoing from afar and assume we know the best way to fix it. But Jesus says good fruit and a good foundation come from using his words in our own lives, not getting others to use his words in their lives. This week, pay attention to the often-subtle process of judging others in your thoughts, whether you say them aloud or not. Each time this happens, suspend the process of judging another person’s actions, demeanor, behavior, or decisions. Then ask the Holy Spirit to help you see the places in your own life where you need to listen to and obey the words of Jesus.
Have a blessed week!
