LOVE, JOY, AND PEACE: Learning to Trust

MOTHER TERESA, NOW known as Saint Teresa of Calcutta, was born in 1910 in Macedonia, and died in 1997. As a young woman, she moved to India, where she loved and cared for the very poor and sick of Calcutta, India. In 1950, she established the Missionaries of Charity, a Catholic religious order now comprising more than five thousand sisters. Someone once asked Mother Teresa to pray that they would have clarity. Her response was: “I will not do that. Clarity is that last thing you are clinging to and must let go of. I have never had clarity; what I have always had is trust. So I will pray that you trust God.” This week, take the words of St. Teresa with you as you pray. Whenever you are seeking answers from God, turn your heart’s desire to learning to trust God.

Have a blessed week!
